The real stimulus benefactors

ARTICLE TOOLS

By  Dan Reichard

The billions of stimulus dollars that will be made available to transit agencies will flow through them into contracts for all kinds of goods and services.  The real benefactors of this money will be the companies and suppliers that provide these goods and services.

The intent of the stimulus package is to create jobs.  It’s hardly possible for the transit agencies to increase their work force proportionately, so the grants to transit make up a stimulus package for transit suppliers, which is a very good thing.

Until next time,

Dan

I love all the news from these dispatches, but I would love more information on how to apply for some of the stimulus money. As a small time operator trying to grow in a non urban area, contacts are hard to come by/
