SEPTA energy pilot to reduce emissions, generate $500K

A software optimization system will allow SEPTA to recycle the energy created from train and trolley regenerative braking at a propulsion substation, improving power quality, producing energy savings and generating revenues. The project will help SEPTA decrease its carbon emissions by 1,258 tons per year.

Foothill to deploy first Proterra battery-electric bus
