Fort Worth's The T selects rail project manager

Robert (Bob) J. Baniewicz, P.E., has been appointed by Forth Worth, Texas' The T as rail project manager for the design and construction of its new Southwest-to-Northeast commuter rail. He will also assist with Trinity Railway Express projects for Tarrant County stations and corridors.

Baniewicz has 32 years of experience in engineering and project management of rail transit, commuter rail, railroad and civil engineering projects across the U.S., including an assignment with Parsons Brinckerhoff on the Railtran Commuter Rail Project from to extend the Trinity Railway Express across Tarrant County into Fort Worth.

The SW to NE commuter rail will be a 38-mile line from Southwest Fort Worth through downtown, across Tarrant County to Grapevine and into Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, scheduled for completion in 2013.
