Founded in 1904, METRO Magazine has served the bus and passenger rail industries for more than a century. METRO's coverage includes both public transit systems and private bus operators, addressing topics such as funding mechanisms, procurement, rolling stock maintenance, privatization, risk management and sustainability.
Annually, METRO recognizes a motorcoach operator of the year and publishes the top 50 rail projects in North America, top 100 transit systems, top 50 motorcoach operators and Fact Book, METRO's annual directory. In addition to the print publication, METRO has an award-winning Website, www.metro-magazine.com, and a several e-mail newsletters, such as the weekly METRO Express. METRO also sponsors BusCon, North America's largest bus show.

Frank has been involved with METRO since 1981. He has served on a variety of APTA committees including its prestigious Business Member Board of Governors. In 2002, Frank was presented APTA's Outstanding Public Transportation Business Award for his contributions to the industry. In 1992, Frank conceived and launched the Motorcoach Industry Achievement Award, given annually at UMA’s Bus Expo to the industry figure who has served the industry with distinction.
