Since launching production of the LFS Artic, Nova Bus has been awarded contracts for rapid-transit type buses in cities such as New York, Halifax, Quebec, Montreal and Saskatoon.

The 24 Nova LFS buses will be assembled in the company's upstate New York plant and delivered in late 2010.

Will operate on several MVTA routes, ensuring that passengers, drivers and maintenance personnel have the opportunity to provide comments about the bus.

BC Transit and TransLink ordered 311 Nova LFS city buses. Of the total, TransLink has taken delivery of 141 hybrid-drive Nova LFS HEV buses.

Valued at approximately $60 million, the order will be assembled at company's Plattsburgh, N.Y., plant.

Vehicles will be used to both grow their fleet and replace aging, less fuel-efficient buses, enabling Calgary Transit to provide enhanced service to the community.

Vehicle features include air conditioning, large windows for maximum light, wide doors and aisles for easy access and passenger flow.

Both scholarship winners were selected because they combine high academic performance with significant community involvement.

More than 200 Nova Bus colleagues were joined by other members of the community for the inauguration ceremony of the new 140,000 sq. ft. plant in Banker Road Industrial Park.

The LFS Artic buses feature a stainless steel structure, a particulate filter that reduces emissions and a time-tested front door access ramp for mobility impaired passengers.
