Bombardier, Vancouver team for 2010 streetcar demo

ARTICLE TOOLS

Bombardier Transportation signed a partnership agreement with the city of Vancouver to provide up to two Bombardier Flexity Outlook streetcars for Vancouver’s downtown streetcar project during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Additionally, Bombardier will also provide operations and maintenance services for the two vehicles during a 60-day period of passenger service.

The Flexity Outlook streetcars will be on loan from the Brussels Transport Company (STIB), which operates a 68-vehicle fleet in Brussels, Belgium, previously supplied by Bombardier Transportation. In January 2008, STIB awarded Bombardier a contract for 87 additional Flexity vehicles.
