Baytech obtains 2009 CNG engine certifications

ARTICLE TOOLS

Baytech Corp. has obtained U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resource Board certifications for its dedicated, compressed natural gas (CNG) fueled 2009 model year General Motors, Isuzu and Workhorse medium and heavy duty vehicles with 6.0L engines.

Vehicles included in these new certifications include: cab forward, cutaway van, chassis cab and custom chassis models.

The CNG systems incorporate Baytech’s gaseous fuel sequential multi-point fuel injection system technology. Baytech’s CNG engine calibration software is fully integrated with the vehicle’s control system to achieve high performance and low emissions, with engine diagnostics functions able to be accessed via standard gasoline scanner tools.
