MCI delivers J4500s to Tenn., La.
Tennessee's All Access Coach Leasing is using two of its new J4500s as 12-bunk band buses complete with front and rear lounges as well as showers.
Gallatin, Tenn.-based All Access Coach Leasing took delivery of three MCI J4500 conversion shells and is expecting three more.
The coach is outfitted with a triple slide-out, a rear bedroom suite with steam shower and a lounge at the front of the vehicle. Star City Coachworks, Vinton, Va., handled the custom build-out.
The J4500 conversion shell features MCI's patented spiral entryway, wide-ride suspension, SmarTire tire-pressure monitoring and a host of driver amenities. Designed in collaboration with BMW Designworks, it also features a high ceiling, which makes it possible to accommodate multiple bunks.
All Access is using its other two delivered J4500s as 12-bunk band buses complete with front and rear lounges as well as showers. All Access loads its coaches with features including flat-panel televisions, in-bunk video, gaming systems, surround sound, satellite television and wireless Internet service.
Meanwhile, Baton Rouge, La.-based Dixieland Tours added six new MCI J4500 coaches featuring amenities such as plush leather seating and the latest in contemporary safety technology, including three-point passenger seatbelts.
Dixieland added appointments include plush blue leather seating by Amaya, Wi-Fi connectivity and power outlets. The new coaches also feature a state-of-art entertainment system by Blaupunkt with flat-screen video monitors, along with Satellite TV and radio.
The operator distinguishes these new coaches, jet black with minimal decals, as its limo series. Dixieland plans to phase in its new graphic look in its entire 21-coach MCI fleet over time.
