ABA, Lancer to distribute crisis management video
All ABA operator members are eligible to access a free copy of Lancer’s “The First 24 Hours: How to Develop, Implement and Test a Serious Incident Response Plan.” The video was produced exclusively for Lancer’s bus and motorcoach policyholders and designed to help them build and maintain a crisis management plan.
The American Bus Association (ABA) and Lancer Insurance Co. announced that all ABA operator members are now eligible to access a free copy of Lancer’s “The First 24 Hours: How to Develop, Implement and Test a Serious Incident Response Plan.” The video was produced exclusively for Lancer’s bus and motorcoach policyholders and designed to help them build and maintain a crisis management plan.
Since 1989, Lancer has produced and distributed a large array of management and driver training video packages for the exclusive benefit of its policyholders. This is the first time the industry-leading insurer is offering one of its videos to non-policyholders.
Beginning May 15, ABA operator members will be sent an email, providing access to Lancer’s online link to the video. After filling out a short survey, they can then download the program, which runs thirty minutes in length.
Having a crisis management plan in place and periodically testing it is critical. A company’s future could be at stake if it has an incident and it’s not handled properly. The police, insurance company, federal officials, family members of passengers, the media and many others will want to get their questions answered in a timely, professional manner. Lancer’s “The First 24 Hours” crisis management plan helps operators set up a customized crisis management plan, so if there is ever an accident or incident, they will be ready.
“Crisis management should be a critical component of a company’s business plan. This added benefit to ABA members is another reason why membership in the ABA is so valuable,” said ABA President/CEO Peter Pantuso.
“Lancer believes this crisis management plan, 'The First 24 Hours,' has the potential to be a very important component in a company’s business plan, and we know the ABA’s members are among the best motorcoach, tourism and travel industry professionals, so this will give them the tools they need to build a strong crisis management plan,” said Lancer’s VP, Safety & Loss Control, Bob Crescenzo.
