METRO publisher promoted to VP

Longtime METRO Magazine Publisher Frank Di Giacomo has been promoted to vice president, bus and rail.

Di Giacomo’s new title is part of the changes brought on by METRO parent Bobit Business Media’s recent acquisition of Newport Business Media.

As vice president, bus and rail, Di Giacomo will continue to lead METRO and sister publication SCHOOL BUS FLEET, which covers the school bus industry.

Di Giacomo has been involved with METRO since 1981, and he is an active member of various industry associations.

He has served on a variety of APTA committees including its prestigious Business Member Board of Governors. In 2002, Frank was presented APTA's Outstanding Public Transportation Business Award for his contributions to the industry.
