SEATTLE — To help deal with fewer transportation options following King County Metro Transit service cuts, the University of Washington launched a new Commute Concierge program to assist students and faculty with planning their commute, reported The Daily.

Metro has eliminated 28 routes and revised 18 routes to bring its spending to a sustainable budget level. As a result of the first round of the service cuts, 151,000 service hours will disappear and 2.3 million of Metro’s ridership, or 2%, will be lost in a year, according to The Daily.
