WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Post reports that on Tuesday, thousands of transit workers from across the U.S. participated in a rally on Capitol Hill for more funding for transit systems nationwide. Workers also want Congress to lift a restriction that requires cities with populations of more than 200,000 to use their federal funds only for capital expenses and not for operations.
