BLACKSBURG, Va. — Blacksburg Transit officials have found the system's driving simulator to be an invaluable part of its training program. The customizable simulator, purchased in 2009 for $280,000, creates lifelike situations to help drivers get experience they normally wouldn't have. For instance, drivers trained in the summer time can still get experience driving in snow and ice, reported The Roanoke Times.
