Mass. Gov. targets MBTA’s paratransit costs

BOSTON — After a report revealed that Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s paratransit service, The Ride, cost taxpayers $90 million last year, Gov. Deval Patrick signed an executive order creating a commission to look at ways to make the service and other similar taxpayer-funded specialty transit more efficient, CBS Boston reported.
