AMHERST, Mass. — With longer lead times required for scheduling with the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority's (PVTA) dial-a-ride service and the possibility of being bumped from a seat, staffers at a local senior center are looking into recruiting more volunteer drivers to help transport senior citizens to doctor's appointments, reported the Daily Hampshire Gazette.
