PEORIA, Ill. — A rural on-demand public transit system in Peoria County that has seen ridership spike in the last 15 months will likely be running in the red by March or April of 2013, pjstar.com reported.

MV Transportation, which operates the service, has indicated a willingness to renegotiate its contract, saving the county a few dollars per hour in favor of extending the contract to five years instead of three. The county is also looking into a fare increase. For the full story, click here.
