JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The News Tribune reported that OATS, a nonprofit transportation and paratransit provider to Mid-Missouri residents, will switch from asking for suggested contributions to implementing a fare system. The provider is making the change so it can balance its fiscal year 2014 budget.

Currently, rider contributions make up only 4% of the provider’s revenue, a regional director for the organization told the paper. For the full story, click here.
