BusCon Expo is expanding its educational offerings on Monday, September 9, with two Motorcoach and Transit Seminars geared toward both public and private operators.

Sessions include:

  • The Capital Cost of Contracting

Find out how local transit providers can expand local services by having bus and motorcoach companies compete for commuter work using the often-overlooked “capital cost of contracting” formula.

  • Know Your Customers: Who Are the New Bus Riders?

DePaul University has been at the forefront of studying recent growth in intercity bus. Not only has intercity bus travel made a remarkable comeback — growth potential remains high. Who are these new bus riders and why has interest in bus travel increased in recent years? Perhaps more importantly, what does all this mean for the future of intercity, scheduled service and charter bus industries? Examine the findings and insight of years of academic research and discover your role in capturing part of this expanding market.

Monday sessions are open to all attendees and brought to you by the United Motorcoach Association and its Bus & Motorcoach Academy.

There will be a Welcome Reception at The Signature Room at the 95th in the John Hancock Center immediately following these bonus sessions. View the full schedule, here.
