Valley Metro training empowers disabled riders

PHOENIX — Because many people with disabilities fear using public transportation, Valley Metro offers monthly training sessions to teach riders how the agency accommodates the disabled.

After classroom lessons, which cover universal topics such as how to buy tickets, participants practice boarding and make an escorted round trip on Metro light rail, the Cronkite News reported. For the full story, click here.
