S.D. task force: Steer paratransit riders away from system

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A task force studying ways to improve Sioux Area Metro’s finances say the city should begin encouraging people with disabilities to find alternatives to its door-to-door paratransit service, reported the Argus Leader.

The committee’s recommendations included steering paratransit riders to other transportation options, including fixed-route buses and nonprofit organizations that offer rides. For the full story, click here.
