WELLINGTON, Fla. — A private senior transportation service, Senior Transportation and Rides (STAR), established in 2009 following a village-wide survey in which senior travel needs presented as one of the biggest hurdles those residents faced every day, was recently tweaked to be able to serve more seniors efficiently, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Now, Wellington residents aged 62 and older receive up to eight trips a month to and from their home to anywhere they desire (within a specified footprint) free of charge, according to the report.
