Va. transit bus, motorized wheelchair collide

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man riding a motorized wheelchair against traffic was struck by a Hampton Roads Transit bus, WAVY-TV reported.

According to police, the bus driver saw the person traveling on the street in the direction of the bus and swerved at the last second to avoid a direct collision with the motorized wheelchair. The wheelchair struck the right side of the bus.

Police confirmed that the man operating the motorized wheelchair was cited for traveling against traffic. For the full story, click here.
