ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) dropped Select Ride, a local transportation company, as its paratransit service provider for breach of contract, MLive reported.

AAATA officials said the company misled them to believe it was paying its drivers a living wage, a requirement of the contract, but it was not. Additionally, there were concerns about the company's performance.

The AAATA board voted unanimously to part ways with Select Ride and awarded a new, three-year contract for door-to-door services for people with disabilities and seniors to Blue Cab, beginning May 1. For the full story, click here.
