AECOM Technology Corp. acquired California-based LAN Engineering Corp.

LAN, with nearly 200 employees and seven offices, provides engineering services - including program/project management, design development and construction management consulting - to primarily public clients. The acquisition of LAN strengthens AECOM's transportation practice, according to the company.

"LAN's construction-management and design expertise enhances AECOM's leadership position in the transportation market," said John M. Dionisio, AECOM president and chief executive officer. "We look forward to the new opportunities that we will pursue with LAN onboard, and we welcome LAN staff into the AECOM family."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
