Houston Metro buses in more than 1,000 crashes last year

HOUSTON — According to a Houston Chronicle analysis, accidents, citations and breakdowns involving the Metropolitan Transit Authority's 1,210 buses documented a total of 1,029 collisions last year. Metro Police classified 338 of the wrecks as “preventable,” meaning the bus drivers involved could have taken measures to prevent the accidents. For the full story, click here.
