Michigan approves new transit plan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.  mlive.com reports that on Wednesday, the board of directors of The Rapid public transit system unanimously approved a plan to build modern streetcar and bus rapid transit lines. Area voters will likely by asked to renew or increase The Rapid's current five-year, dedicated property tax, which expires in July 2013. For the full story, click here.
