Translink under fire for giving free passes to staff, retirees

VANCOUVER, B.C. —  Employees with at least two years service who retire from British Columbia-based TransLink, Coast Mountain Bus Co. or the Transit Police receive lifetime passes, per a compensation package in union contracts negotiated years ago when the local transit system was run by BC Transit, bclocalnews.com reported.
