PIERRE, S.D. — River Cities Public Transit added a new hybrid-electric transit bus into service last week, the Capital Journal reports. Executive Director Ron Baumgart says he believes the bus is the first hybrid in the state. The agency was awarded an $85,000 federal grant, administered by the state Department of Transportation. The grant paid for 80 percent of the bus and then a local match of 20 percent was made through various donations and matching by employees. To read the full story, click here.
