In partnership with Ontario, Canada-based York Region Transit (YRT), Nova Bus showcased Viva's sleek new bus rapid transit (BRT) vehicle at the 2010 Canadian Urban Transit Association Trans Expo in November, winning the award for Best Vehicle Display.

"This bus is a great example of the innovative technologies that can be achieved through the partnership approach," said Nova's President/CEO Gilles Dion. "The Viva vehicles showcase the way our products and services have been evolving, presenting quality features that truly enhance the passenger experience and the vehicle's productivity."

The articulated buses were designed with great attention to detail, as reflected in their advanced styling features, including a modular ceiling panel, — which diffuses indirect lighting — work tables in the rear, sconces, space saving back rests, redesigned driver partition, and floor-to-ceiling vertical stanchions, representing a new level of convergence between style, comfort and functionality, according to Nova.
