D.C. Metro police confiscating more guns from riders

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metro transit police have confiscated more firearms from riders in the past two years, than the last 12 years combined, according to new transit agency data. Police recovered 65 weapons last year marking a huge spike from the 21 seized in 2009, the Washington Examiner reported. While guns on the Metro system are legal in Virginia, once the train crosses into Maryland or the District, they are illegal. To read the full story, click here.
