ATU cries foul on GOP transportation bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Amalgamated Transit Union said that while the $260 billion transportation bill unveiled by House Republicans does not reduce the percentage of spending in on public transit projects, it places too many restrictions on how transit systems can spend the money that is allocated to them in the legislation, The Hill reported.
