SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Muni, which no longer pays overtime costs to replace drivers who call in sick, has had to cancel 35 to 45 bus runs each weekday. The cancellations, which have resulted in cuts to bus service, are putting renewed attention on the contentious issue of driver absenteeism, reported The Bay Citizen.
