Alleged L.A. bus driver shooter could get death penalty

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles County District Attorney told NBC 4 Southern California that bus passenger Anthony Craig Chambers, who was accused of killing Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver Alan Thomas last weekend has been charged with special circumstances murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.

California law allows prosecutors to seek the death penalty when someone is convicted of lying in wait and murdering a transportation worker. For the full story, click here.
