CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) began work on its temporary transit center, which will be used Monday through Wednesday of next week during the Democratic National Convention (DNC), wcnc.com reported. Crews are installing floors, paths, customer service centers, air conditioned tents, picnic tables and restrooms.

CATS is shutting down the regular location because of security concerns. The agency will run all bus routes as normal, but will operate around DNC-related street closures. For the full story, click here.
