King County Metro BRT ‘bulbs’ save time, but danger to drivers

SEATTLE — King County Metro Transit’s bus rapid transit system is designed with stops, called “bus bulbs,” that protrude toward the street, to help buses quickly board riders.

Some stops, according to The Seattle Times, are located close to the intersection and occupy the only lane of traffic, causing drivers behind the bus to block the intersection. For the full story, click here.
