CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kin Yiu Cheung, the driver of a Sky Express bus that crashed and killed four riders, was sentenced to six years in prison this week. However, federal records show that two companies with ties to Sky Express are still operating, despite a widespread crackdown on unsafe companies, reports the Charlotte Observer.

Following the crash, the federal government ordered 26 unsafe bus companies to shut down. Ming An and General Bus have some of the worst safety records in the nation, but are still in operation. To read the full story, click here.
