BATON ROUGE, La. — Brian Marshall, CEO of Baton Rouge-based Capital Area Transit System (CATS), abruptly tendered his resignation after months of speculation about the security of his job, The Times-Picayune reported.
In his resignation letter, Marshall said, "the current environment at CATS wasn't conducive to building" a sustainable public transportation system.
He had recently been criticized by the board for not providing a business plan for tax revenues generated after passing a 10.6-millage tax last April. For the full story, click here.
