BOSTON — NBC News reported that Richard Donohue, a transit police officer wounded in a firefight with suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings, posted a message on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Transit Police website, crediting a slain MIT officer for saving his life.

Donohue told NBC he still has a long way to go in his recovery but is able to briefly move around with the aid of a walker. He also revealed that a bullet from the shootout will remain lodged in his leg. For the full story, click here.
