MINNEAPOLIS — Metro Transit introduced the first of its new Gillig “buses of the future,” which will be used on its “arterial” rapid transit bus line set to debut this spring, the Star Tribune reports.

The new bus comes without fareboxes, because passengers will be paying before they board and entering through either door to help speed service. The route will also feature longer spacing between stops, and buses will employ traffic signal priority technology to move more easily through lights. For the full story, click here.
