Denver RTD increases railcar entry space for wheelchairs

DENVER — Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) increased the entry space on its FasTracks commuter railcar by a foot beyond what is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, reported the Denver Post.

The change will decrease the chances that passengers using wheelchairs will become stuck while maneuvering in or out of the entry space as the cars prepare to leave the station. To read the full story, click here.
