Montebello Bus Lines (MBL) partnered with The Shops at Montebello to open a transportation, environment and conservation-theme play area for kids.
Shopping center officials estimate that each week over 2,000 children will play in the newly renovated area. The play area has nine main features for kids to jump, climb and slide on, including a miniature MBL bus and bus stop, a hybrid car, a skateboard, a monarch butterfly and a six-foot pine tree.
“We’re really excited about this opportunity to plant a seed in minds of children about alternative modes of transportation and the importance of conservation,” said MBL Director of Transportation Aurora Jackson. “Montebello Bus Lines’ partnership with The Shops at Montebello is a win-win proposition on so many levels.”
In exchange for MBL’s sponsorship for the construction of the play area, The Shops at Montebello will sell MBL bus passes and tokens at Guest Services, distribute MBL bus schedules and information, and promote MBL services and events to its 21,000 weekly visitors.
In addition to its monetary contribution, MBL’s in-kind contribution includes advertisements on interior bus cards, exterior bus ad and website logo placement.
