Ind. paratransit system receives $80k grant

RICHMOND, Ind. — The area’s Common Council approved an application for an $80,808 grant from the Area 9 Agency, a service of Indiana University East that provides in-home and community based services for the aged and disabled population, for the city’s paratransit system, according to the Palladium-Item.

The grant, which will allow senior citizens to ride for any donated amount and disabled citizens to ride for a nominal charge, is spread over two years. For the full story, click here.
