Denver RTD selects FasTracks construction team

Recommended that its board of directors move forward with a proposal from Graham, Balfour Beatty, Hamon Constructors to design and build the North Metro Rail Line to 124th Avenue. The proposal commits to completing construction of the line to 124th by January 2018.

New Flyer wins 5-year Denver RTD contract

Company will build up to 192 diesel 60-foot Xcelsior heavy-duty transit buses. This is the first time the company will build buses for RTD.

The study team led by HNTB was contracted by RTD to provide an objective analysis of transit options for the northwest area which include commuter rail and bus rapid transit.

The GPS-based system will provide audio and visual stop announcements inside the Denver Regional Transportation District’s nearly 1,000 buses and broadcast route and destination information outside the buses when the doors open at bus stops.
