UTA launches commuter rail, cuts bus routes

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority launched a commuter rail line between Salt Lake City and Provo in an effort to expand and enhance public transit between Salt Lake City and Utah counties, Deseret News reported.

However, with the launch, the agency cut the length of some bus routes to accommodate the new rail line, due to budgetary constraints. For the full story, click here.
