Hampton Roads Transit light rail study still under way

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Hampton Roads Transit gave an update to the Virginia Beach City Council about its study looking into the possibility of extending light rail, reported WVEC.com.

The study began in 2009 but has been delayed several times. The study is intended to give officials an idea of ridership, costs and logistics for a light rail extension, as well as for a bus rapid transit system and other forms of public transit. To read the full story, click here.
