Trinity Railways purchases composite rail ties

AXION International Holdings Inc. received an approximate $500,000 for its 100% recycled ECOTRAX composite rail ties from Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) for use in the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) that connects Dallas and Fort Worth.

TRE regularly purchases and installs ECOTRAX main line rail ties as well as specialty ties for use in crossings, turnouts and bridges.

DART moves its passengers around Dallas and 12 surrounding cities with modern public transit services and customer facilities tailored to make trips fast, comfortable and economical.

The extensive network of DART rail, Trinity Railway Express and bus services moves more than 220,000 passengers per day across DART's 700-square-mile service area.
