U. of Manitoba students vote for universal bus pass

WINNIPEG, Canada — University of Manitoba students have voted overwhelmingly to support a new bus pass that would give them unlimited access to Winnipeg Transit. However, the passes would cost the city and the province of Manitoba about $5 million, reported the Winnipeg Free Press.

The university's students union is proposing the city and the provincial government pay $133 of the $283 per student the pass costs each year, leaving students to pay $150 for two semesters. To read the full story, click here.
