Pittsburgh rail co. may manage Princeton train

PRINCETON, N.J. — Pittsburgh-based Railroad Development Corp. contacted NJ Transit with an interest in managing the agency’s 2.7 mile Dinky rail line that runs from Princeton University to Princeton Junction, according to The Princeton Packet.

The company and NJ Transit still need to meet to discuss details, officials said. The future of the rail line has been a subject of contention ever since the university announced a plan to move the terminus of the train line 460 feet south as part of its arts and transit project.
