Detroit streetcar to receive $10 million state loan

DETROIT — The M-1 Rail streetcar project was approved to receive a $10-million loan from the state, which will serve as a sort of bridge loan to help free up some of the money from longer-term pledges, the Detroit Free Press reported.

The state loan was supported in part because of the long-term economic development expected to result from construction of the M-1 line. For the full story, click here.
