The agency’s fare free electric shuttle, AVA, will begin serving the public as part of a three-month pilot in downtown St. Petersburg.
The 10.3-mile line will include 16 stops with buses running every 15 minutes.
In addition to the SunRunner name and logo, officials also revealed that some station designs will incorporate public art by local artist Catherine Woods.
The new WAVE wireless charging station includes a primary charging plate aimed at reducing wait time for electric buses to be fully charged.
A total of 202 buses are now equipped with the protective barriers.
